NAPLAN@Robertson

We would like to invite parents/carers of Year 3 & 5 students to join us in the library for a NAPLAN@Robertson testing processes information session.

This session is designed to provide information and strategies to our families so that they are better equipped to support their child's NAPLAN experience.

Each session will focus on the testing format and question types, where to find practice materials, how to reduce anxiety and ensure your child has the best opportunity to do well during the testing process.

Please book in to one session only using the link below. All attendees require a ticket.

Monday 24 February 9.00am - 10.00am

Wednesday 26 February 3.30pm - 4.30pm

The NAPLAN app to be downloaded for students is found in the app store using this link:https://apps.apple.com/au/app/nap-locked-down-browser/id1086807255 and looks like the below picture (called NAP 2025)

Safer Internet Day 2025 and Cyber Safety

Safer Internet Day is Tuesday 11 February. Resources for families to support safer internet usage can be found through the eSafety Commissioner website.

We will also be hosting a ThinkUKnow presentation on Thursday 13 February at 6.00pm in the Library and all parents, carers and teachers are encouraged to attend.

ThinkUKnow Australia is an evidence based education program delivered nationally to prevent online child sexual exploitation. ThinkUKnow Australia is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police, Microsoft Australia, Datacom and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
.
The program is delivered in collaboration with policing partners New South Wales Police Force, Northern Territory Police, Queensland Police, South Australia Police, Tasmania Police, Western Australia Police, as well as Neighbourhood Watch Australasia. The presentation will be delivered by a local law enforcement member and an industry volunteer.
.
The presentation is pro-technology and addresses many topics suitable for ADULTS ONLY as students will be presented with age-appropriate sessions in the coming weeks.
..
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about young people and the online environment, and how you can help them to be safe and responsible users of technology.
..
For more information, you can visit www.thinkuknow.org.au or contact Mel Kennedy on mkenn213@eq.edu.au
We encourage parents to attend and ask you book using the following link:
