We have also been through the new and improved Expectation Matrix, so that students are aware of the expectations in a variety of situations, whether it is: in class, out of class, excursions or digitally:

Before School Routines
If your child arrives before 8.35am
  • Wait quietly in front of the office
  • At 8.35am a bell will ring which releases your child to go to their lining up area
  • Go straight to their lining up area
  • Use the toilet on the way if they need to
  • This is NOT play time
 If they arrive after 8.35am
  • Go straight to their lining up area
  • Use the toilet on the way if they need to
  • This is NOT play time

The tuckshop area is NOT a responsible place to wait.

The gazebo is NOT a responsible place to wait WITHOUT A PARENT. You can wait here if you are with an adult. Outside the classroom is NOT a responsible place to wait.

After School Routines

When the bell rings and the teacher lets your child go:
  • Go straight to the area where they are being picked up
  • Do NOT play with their friends, play handball or go to the playground – There are no teachers on duty to make sure they are safe
  • If they are being picked up at the pickup zone, make sure they are waiting quietly and listening for their name to be called
  • Be responsible by using pathways around the outside of carparks

Please have a discussion with your child to make sure they understand the expectations at school. In the next few weeks, we will be looking at routines and 'Out of Bounds' areas.
