Year 3 Creative Arts Incursion
On Friday, October 17, our Year 3 students participated in a one-hour Creative Arts Incursion that explored the use of pattern in art. The session encouraged students to experiment with line, shape, and colour to create bold and expressive abstract designs.
Students learned how warm and cool colours can create contrast and mood, and how repeating shapes and lines can form rhythm and balance within their artwork. Each class followed a similar process, yet every student’s creation was wonderfully unique, reflecting their individual imagination and ideas.
The incursion provided an enjoyable opportunity for creative exploration and self-expression. Students were fully engaged and proud of their work, showing great focus and enthusiasm throughout the session. Their colourful artworks are a celebration of creativity, pattern, and the joy of making art!
