Metropolitan North and South Choral Honours Program

Last week from 21-23 October Education Queensland held the Metropolitan North and South Choral Honours program for Year 6 choir students at the Old Museum Building. Five of our Year 6 Cantabile students were selected to participate in this program.  They worked with two guest conductors and memorised four songs to perform at the concert on Thursday afternoon. The performance was wonderful, and they were a credit to our school. Congratulations singers

MusicFest GOLD Clean Sweep for Robertson Bands! 

Congratulations to our two amazing Concert Bands, Hultgren and Grainger band on both of their incredible performances at the recent Brisbane MusicFest Schools Bands Competition. Students prepared diligently and pulled off a quality performance on the day, under the high pressure of a panel of judges. Gold is a wonderful achievement, and for both bands to receive this accolade is a great way to celebrate individual and peer success and progress as musicians – well done Robertson SS Band students! 

Assessment, Assembly performances and Music Extravaganza Concerts are coming up soon – check and save the dates , and encourage three-four practice sessions per week at home. Happy Music Making!
