2025 – Week 10 Term 3
As we reach the end of Term 3, I want to take a moment to reflect on our achievements and thank you all for your incredible support. It's been a term filled with growth, learning, and memorable moments.
Term 3 Highlights
Our students have excelled academically and personally.
Our recent Choir and Music Ensembles have had outstanding success, showcasing the amazing talents of our young performers. The commitment and hard work of our students and staff have truly shone through.
We also had a fantastic Book Week that was a vibrant celebration of literature and imagination.
I am also incredibly proud of our students who participated in the Gala Day Sport competitions, Representative Sport competitions and the students who participated in the Junior Sports Carnival this term. Our students have demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, resilience, and teamwork.
We applaud the success and enthusiasm of our students in the Readers Cup Team (9th in Queensland), our Chess Team, Debating Team, our Language Team Competitions (please see Griffith Congratulation email below), our Year 4 and Year 5 Camps, Logan Maths Team Challenge, Year 2 and 3 Swimming, Creative Generations and more. These experiences are invaluable for our student’s development. Well done all.
Thank you again to our School P&C and the many parent and staff volunteers who have supported the successful running of Spring Fest, and the Father’s Day Stall this term.
Acknowledging Our Community
None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our parent community. Your involvement, whether it's helping with homework, volunteering at events, or simply encouraging your children, makes a profound difference. Thank you for your partnership in your child’s education. I'd also like to extend my gratitude to our dedicated teachers and staff. Their passion and commitment are the driving force behind our school's success.
Updated Consent for School Subscriptions and Media Permissions
As part of our ongoing compliance with Education Queensland policies around student data, we are updating our consent management for 2026. Consent was previously obtained only on enrolment, now we are moving to use the online consent management process.
From today you will receive two new consent requests via QParents (or in print if you do not have QParents).
- School subscriptions – consent for students to access our selected third-party services to support curriculum delivery: Mathletics/Mathseeds, Literacy Planet & Seesaw
- School media consent – consent for student photos to be shared through our school newsletter, website, Facebook and YouTube (private channel)
We appreciate your support in updating our data as soon as possible to streamline our processes in preparation for the new school year.
Looking Ahead to Term 4
Term 4 is just around the corner, and it promises to be an exciting one. We'll be focusing on wrapping up the academic year with a strong finish and preparing our Year 6 students for their transition to high school. There will be many end-of-year events to celebrate our students' achievements, and we look forward to seeing you there.
On behalf of the staff at Robertson State School, I wish you all a safe and restful holiday. Enjoy this time with your families, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for Term 4.
