Book Week 2025 

Book Week 2025 is almost here! Running from 18-22 August, Book Week is an annual celebration of books and reading while also promoting contemporary Australian children's literature. This year we encourage all of our students to 'Book an Adventure'  as we join children all over the country in recognising the Children's Book Council of Australia's 80th Book Week.  

Included is a schedule of events for the week. Payment for the musical performance and author visit has now closed. 

Our first competition has commenced. Students are invited to create a 'Book-in-a-Box', demonstrating their creativity through showing us their favourite book - in a shoe box! Find the details here. All entries are due Friday 15 August and will be on display in the library throughout Book Week. 

There are still some tickets available to join our Pyjama Party, but places are filling fast. Please register asap if you wish to participate. 

Students are also welcome to pre-order copies of the books published by our visiting author, Sarah Armstrong. Orders placed by Monday 11 August will be delivered to the school and can be signed by the author during her visit.  

We are all looking forward to a fabulous week celebrating books and reading! And we are so excited to see everyone's amazing costumes at the book character parades on Monday 18 August! 

ICAS  

ICAS registration has now closed. The testing dates are; 

• Tuesday 12 August – English - Years 4, 5 & 6 

• Thursday 14 August – English - Years 2 & 3 

• Tuesday 26 August – Mathematics - Years 4, 5 & 6 

• Thursday 28 August – Mathematics - Years 2 & 3  

Tests are held in the music room at 7.30am. There are no catch up dates available due to the time constraints set by ICAS. 

Please ensure your child arrives on time and has their fully charged iPad.
